COzy City Loft
the Pearl District Project || Portland, Oregon
The 2nd floor of this pear district loft has large floor-to-ceiling corner windows that let in a lot of natural light and also provide a beautiful panoramic view. It has the lowest ceilings of all three floors which makes it a cozy room to relax in front the TV or read and enjoy the fireplace.
The client wanted leather seating and pieces that reclined. I love the contrast of a cool leather and soft textures like plush throw pillows and high pile area rugs with thick padding to make a space feel even cozier.
The storage ottoman provides some extra space often needed in a smaller home. A coffee table tray makes it functional for holding items while also sharing the space for putting up your feet!
Accessorizing with candles is a must for adding to the coziness and maximizing the romance of the space.
The office (Not pictured here) has twin desk lamps that cast a soft glow and a long bench seat with more down-filled pillows. There is a Fiddle fig tree and several other green plants that add life and warmth to the room.
